Jonny Bongo

Belfast born Jonny Lacey, aka Jonny Bongo, rose to prominence in Liverpool during the early 2010s with his notorious Monday Night Quiz at The Shipping Forecast. Known for ludicrous questions, occasionally sickening challenges, banging tunes and an infectious atmosphere, the quiz soon became one of the hottest tickets in Liverpool, with weekly queues of people eager to witness the madness snaking around the block.

After 3 years, Jonny craved a new challenge. Alongside close friend Joshua Burke, he plotted to breathe life into the traditionally stale game of bingo, and Bongo's Bingo was born! On April 2nd 2015, Jonny hosted the very first Bongo's Bingo in Liverpool; unknowingly changing the face of nightlife in the UK. Over the past 7 years, Jonny has watched his format grow into the worldwide phenomenon it is today, performing across the globe in places such as Australia, Dubai, Ibiza, Amsterdam, and more.

Now something of a local celebrity in Liverpool, he regularly makes appearances on local radio stations such as Capital FM, and has made national television and radio appearances on the likes of The One Show, The Jonathan Ross Show, Granada Reports and BBC Inside Out. He has also appeared in online and printed publications such as The Guardian and The Financial Times just to name a few. As our flagship host, Jonny's shows are still the epitome of the Bongo's Bingo experience with his Liverpool shows selling out months in advance.
