Micky Pickles

As demand for shows and the Bongo’s brand grew, Jonny Bongo handed the baton to Mick Ledwich (a.k.a. Micky Pickles) to join the team as our second ever Bongo’s Bingo host. Born and raised in Liverpool, Mick has an extensive background in acting appearing in various stage and screen productions in a career spanning over 30 years. After graduating from the elusive and world renowned LIPA performing arts school, he went immediately into work winning the Equity bursary for ‘Best Graduate Actor’ and worked extensively, returning to LIPA from time to time to coach the next generation of aspiring thespians. Aside from his acting career, Mick had heavy experience as a Liverpool DJ and singer/songwriter playing in some of the city’s best loved clubs and bars and beyond, all this making him the perfect candidate to join our show team.

Since his debut in 2017, he has firmly established himself as one of our most popular hosts. He joined the early ranks to help spread our Bongo’s Bingo gospel across the globe to hundreds of thousands including tours of Australia, Dubai, Ibiza, Amsterdam and many more.

The man with the gleaming smile has cemented himself as a God amongst the Geordie masses and is now considered the second most famous bald man in Tyneside (after Alan Shearer).
